Welcome to the official website of the Arundel Bay Area Chapter (formerly the Greater Glen Burnie Chapter) of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.

In 1988, mothers residing in the Glen Burnie Area of Anne Arundel County, MD started an interest group which was sponsored by the Baltimore County Chapter.  The Chapter was then chartered in 1990 by the national organization. Currently, the Arundel Bay Area Chapter is 27 families strong.

As the premier family organization in America, it is our responsibility to prepare our youth to address America’s challenges by creating a leadership model that takes them from the classroom to the boardroom.”  Youth leadership and development are the heart and soul of everything we do - our programming, our philanthropic giving and our service to communities.  It is our mission to instill values and leadership skills that will serve our children well into adulthood.

Once a month the children meet for their group activities.  These activities are age appropriate and fun.  In accordance with the Objects and Aims of the organization, we have a mix of activities: educational, cultural, civic, health, recreational and social.  In addition, we have family activities such as our annual Jack nd Jill Day and Black Family Day Celebration.  We also participate in the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Breakfast and have fundraising activities to support the Jack and Jill of America Foundation and other  non-profit organizations in Anne Arundel County such as Sarah's House and the Boy's & Girl's Clubs of Anne Arundel County.

We are committed to our children, and establishing and maintaining bonds between our families.  I invite you to view the pages of our website to learn more about us.  If you would like to receive information regarding our upcoming Prospective Member recruiting events, please email your contact information to Lavertta Harden, our Vice President and Membership Chair at info@ ArundelBayJJ.com.  You can also find additional information about the National Organization by visiting www.jack-and-jill.org.

Stretching Upwards and Outwards,
Joi M. Grady, President
